Data Management System for PROTEOMICS Research

Introduction

KU Bioinformatics Core Facility has devoted significant efforts to manage, analyze, and validate mass spectrometry data for the proteomic researches at the University of Kansas. Collaborating with the Analytical Proteomics Laboratory (APL), we have developed Pro-LIMS (the Lab Information Management System for PROTEOMICS). Pro-LIMS consists of a web-browser based interface, a relational database as the backend, and scripts to manage the data, backup and archive files to ITTC file server. The web-browser based interface allows end users to submit requests and access results via the web-browser based interface. It also accepts inputs from MS specialist.

Pro-LIMS is available to KU researchers and their collaborators. For security reason, Pro-LIMS is password-protected and can only be accessed from computers in several buildings on KU Lawrence campus and a few remote sites controlled by their IP addresses. Please contact us if you want to create an account in the system or if you forgot your ID/password. General public may access publicly available data and information in the public area. You may find supplementary materials of the publications from researchers associated with BCF and APL. A list of proteomics links and tutorials is also available.
